My mistake, I thought you owned these rods. The 2 Recker rods seem well made with a beautiful caramel flamed color. I say they" seem "well made because the rods I purchased last summer are my first bamboos so I am no expert. The seams have no gaps and rthe finish isgreat. I have 2 Pennington "Pine River" series rods and I can see gaps between the bamboo strips. The Penningtons are his economy series for lack of a better term and cost less then the Reckers. The Reckers appear to be a bargain. Tom

Thanks Tom, I have narrowed it down to the Recker's Dickerson taper and the Orvis Battenkill, perhaps both if I can swing it.

I see you have 4 Recker rods. How do you feel about them. I would assume you like them. I have 2. North Fork Special 7'6" 5 wgt and Payne 100 7'6" 4 wgt. Happier with the 5 wgt. Tom

I'm looking at them for my first bamboo rod. it's one of the Reckers or an Orvis Battenkill
